Award-winning students", where on the 3rd of the current El Colejio de la Merced presented two brilliant competitions on arithmetic, geography, French and Spanish grammar, morals and civility, and theoretical music and practice. The attendees left satisfied with the events, as well as with the works of work and drawing that were put on display. The students who obtained the three prizes that, according to the statutes of the house, must be awarded to the most advanced, were the ladies Fermina Navarro, Rafaela Zapara and Ignacia Angarita. Esta imagen contiene una noticia de los: "Exámenes realizados sobre varias materias. Alumnas premiadas", donde el 3 del corriente presentó El Colejio de la Merced dos lucidos certámenes sobre aritméticam jeografía, gramática francesa i castellana, moral i urbanidad, i música teórica i práctica. Los concurrentes salieron satisfechos de los actos, así como tambien de las obras de labor i dibujo que se pusieron en exhibicion. Las alumnas que obtuvieron los tres premios que, segun los estatutos de la casa, deben concederse a las mas adelantadas, fueron las señoritas Fermina Navarro, Rafaela Zapara i Ignacia Angarita.
