Resumen
School disciplines are a recently explored field of research in education and pedagogy in Colombia that recognizes a particular knowledge in the School. This research addresses the configuration of school Social Sciences in the New School pedagogical movement, one of the movements that had the greatest importance for the 20th century. The period under investigation includes the years 1914-1948, a time in which these pedagogical ideas shook the educational scene of the country, framed in political, economic, cultural, pedagogical and other emerging discursivities that gave rise to Social Studies. The proposed research approach was the genealogical-archaeological one, which allowed describing the discursivities that gave rise to the school Social Sciences in the pedagogical movement in question. Thus, this research reveals that patriotism, the ideal of a good citizen, scientific knowledge, the use of natural resources, the appropriation of the national territory, the construction of the child, pedagogy, the ideal of teacher and ideology civilization were elements that were part of the configuration of school Social Sciences.
