Abstract

This document presents a discussion about the knowledge of reading and writing and its teaching in the context of adult literacy, starting with the CAMINA National Instruction Campaign project between 1982 and 1986. Work is carried out within these pages, look at the historical context of reading and writing, literacy and its importance in the economic and social development of the country taking as a reference the methodology of pedagogical discourse analysis, literacy texts and their teaching method.
