Resumen
The 3 calls is a project developed around a personal identity search, which has as main source of information and research a series of trips made during the last 3 years. I went to Mexico, Bolivia, Argentina and internally I was in several places in Colombia. On this journey I found and strengthened the concept of syncretism that I will develop throughout the text, since from the wisdom of traveling it became the key word to understand that we are an amalgam of beliefs and relationships between cultures. During the trips through Colombia, I developed my artistic proposal combining what I learned in the different countries, mixing that knowledge with characteristics of the territories I visited and generating a necessary dynamic of integration with the community of the area. The final result of these immersions in different communities is a series of murals that I elaborated during my journey in each place. Now, for my plastic proposal - academic exercise - I have created a video as a "souvenir" so that it can be seen by others and thus share my experience during the trips. In that sense, the video is the record of the different murals made, which allowed me to understand another way of looking at life, other options to understand the "natural" and ultimately, understand me as the result of a mixture of beliefs and cultures. My main references in the development of this project are the neo-muralists, Inti from Chile, Gleo from Colombia, Gurí from Argentina, and Saner from Mexico. These artists have a mural process, which goes hand in hand with travel, with contact with communities and mainly contain a mixture of symbols, colors and thematic characteristics that make reference to the mixture of beliefs and customs in their murals.
