Infancia rural: Una mirada a la construcción de identidades a través de las narrativas de niños y niñas de la vereda Márquez, La Calera

Abstract

This investigation seeks to approach the understanding of the identity construction processes of a group of boys and girls from Márquez, a rural area of the municipality of La Calera. In this sense, those corresponding and constitutive elements of the narrative identity (ipseity / sameness) were analyzed from Paul Ricoeur’s approach of and from there, aspects related to the rural experience were identified. This study is part of a qualitative perspective based on the phenomenological-hermeneutical current, using life stories as an instrument. For this, 3 boys and 3 girls between 10 and 12 years of age participated, who have lived in Márquez since birth. Among the main findings, it is observed that the identity of children, in relation to what is stable over time, is related to practices, roles and physical-psychological characteristics and the change themself is linked to ethical objectives and search for self-realization. Likewise, it was evidenced that identity in connection with others is mainly configured in the family and in the school experience as a socialization scenario, finally, rurality is narrated by children as a scenario of possibility of play and fun, of security and tranquility and participation, where relationships of trust are woven with the other.
