Decreto Número 29 de 1886

Abstract

The image contains a notice about Decree Number 29 of 1886 in development of Agreement number 21 of the same year on leasing of domestic servants, in which it is mentioned that the work of domestic servants may be contracted for a determined time; but it may not be stipulated to last more than one year, unless the stipulation is recorded in writing; and not even with this requirement shall the servant be obliged to remain in the service for more than five years counted from the date of the document of the agreement. In addition, the possibilities of indefinite renewal of said agreement and the times for termination of the service at the will of the parties are mentioned, together with other guidelines and prohibitions to be taken into account with respect to the hired personnel and the employer.
