Resumen
The first chapter will present the framework of conceptual references that provided the theoretical support for this research, the sections that will be found are: The usefulness of Concept Cartoons in education, Contextualized Concept Cartoons as an educational resource, Concept Cartoons and science education, the usefulness of Concept Cartoons in education, Contextualized Concept Cartoons as an educational resource, Concept Cartoons, and the teaching of science and finally, you will find the research question on which the research was focused. The second chapter presents the methodology that governed this research, which was an exploratory qualitative paradigm through a pictorical analysis (Hernández, Fernández, & Baptista, 2014), the research phases to develop the investigation, as well as the description of the population to which the Contextualized Concept Cartoon: "The song of the birds" was applied. The third chapter presents the results and analysis of the student's interpretation of the Contextualized Concept Cartoon: "Birdsong". In this section, interesting findings can be identified regarding the students' response to certain questions, and how their perception can be influenced by their culture or their family nucleus, as well as the preconceptions and concepts that the students have about birds and how the students creatively propose alternative endings to a problem situation. Finally, the fourth chapter presents the conclusions where can analyze the questions and reflections that arose from the analysis of the Contextualized Concept Cartoon: "Birdsongs" by students between 8 and 10 years old belonging to the bird watching camp of Gimnasio Los Andes, in which they actively and dynamically participated in this research.
