Propuesta de implementación de un centro de conectividad para el Municipio de La Peña Cundinamarca

Abstract

The following thesis proposes the analysis of different technologies to be implemented on connectivity centres in rural areas, knowing the connectivity centres as fiscal or virtual areas that provide different services such as internet access, technical support, social care, digital training and other services. With this purpose we have run and bibliographic analysis supported by the descriptive methodology to identify, describe and evaluate different characteristics of the main technologies of connection to the internet such as Wimax, ADSL, 4G network, fiber optic and satellite and to elaborate general recommendations that support the decision making for the connectivity centre to be implemented. The results obtained in this document trying to create awareness of the existence of multiple alternatives on the technologies of connection testing multiple factors that generate challenges while planning a project, factors like demographics, socioeconomics and geographics of the area, quality and availability of the service, cost and accessibility of a physical and technical infrastructure and the capacity of the providers installed. These factors help clarify the necessity of the region the Peña Cundinamarca providing a subjective picture of the problem of the lack of connectivity. With these observations we can conclude that a connectivity centre is one of the strategies to have in mind to contribute to the socioeconomic development in the rural areas, improving the access to the internet, for which analyse what technology is more compatible to the necessity of the area is one of the most important to have a successful development.
