Abstract

The program highlights the problems of the elderly in Providencia and Santa Catalina, exposed by Aminta Robinson. During the interview, she discusses how many elderly people on the island face abandonment and loneliness due to the work commitments of their families, which leads to a sedentary lifestyle that aggravates health problems such as reduced mobility, chronic diseases, obesity and diabetes. Since its founding, Aminta Robinson works to provide support through donations that include wheelchairs, adult diapers and other essentials.
