Resumen
Every organization has its foundation in making strategic decisions, which can ensure a successful execution of activities, or it can lead to a failure to achieve a correct level of success by not making timely and correct decisions, both operationally and strategically, being these much more accurate when they are based on information sources that allow the reduction of uncertainty and risk. Information technologies have a relevant role in allowing the collection, storage and processing of data generated from the execution of the organization's operations. Given the above, it is important to highlight the importance that must be at the time of managing and interpreting such information, where business intelligence or business intelligence comes into play, giving decision makers timely and reliable information to respond to various situations that can be presented in the organization at the operational, tactical and strategic levels. It is in this context that the opportunity to apply the processes, applications and technologies provided by business intelligence in a government agency is evident, specifically to the social land use planning plans developed by the National Land Agency, with a view to support decision making for the prioritization and intervention of future municipalities targeted by the entity.
