Resumen
The program “Voces y Regiones”, broadcast by Laud Estéreo 90.4 FM, featured a conversation with Isabel Dávila, a social leader in La Guajira. Isabel, originally from Bogotá, settled in the region more than 15 years ago, where she has dedicated her life to working for victims of forced displacement, mistreatment of women and other vulnerable communities.
During the interview, Isabel spoke about her work guiding and supporting displaced people in accessing government assistance, as well as the importance of strengthening community projects, such as indigenous handicraft production chains. She also expressed the need for greater government support and coordination with community leaders to address the region's structural problems, including limited access to basic services and job opportunities.
The leader highlighted the beauty and cultural richness of La Guajira, from its landscape to the traditions of the Wayúu indigenous peoples. She concluded with a call for unity and the strengthening of local leadership as tools to overcome social difficulties.
