Resumen
This paper describes the design and implementation of a telematics platform developed to optimize vendor management on Colombian highways. It leverages cloud computing to dynamically scale platform resources and maintain operational readiness in a context where service demands can fluctuate significantly throughout the year. The proposed solution automatically adjusts resources based on user demand, ensuring availability and performance even during peak travel periods on Colombian highways. The platform's architecture is based on distributed computing patterns implemented with technologies such as Amazon ECS and Fargate, which facilitates a highly scalable infrastructure. This approach allows for handling variable demand in different regions of the country. A functional prototype of the platform was developed, implemented through a mobile application, and then stress-tested with JMeter, simulating various real-time traffic scenarios. These tests allow for evaluating system performance under real-world conditions and validating its responsiveness. The results demonstrate that AWS provides services and guidelines for building platforms that operate in highly variable demand scenarios, maintaining optimal response times and ensuring a reliable experience. This technological approach confirms the feasibility of implementing scalable solutions using cloud computing specifically in the Colombian mobility sector, which is characterized by changing demands at different times of the year.
