Apoyo y soporte técnico al centro de investigación y desarrollo para la información - CIAF, en la generación de cartografía temática para el municipio de Falan Tolima

Abstract

In this paper, the functions developed within the framework of the internship, developed at the Agustín Codazzi Geographic Institute (IGAC), at the CIAF office (Information Center for the Development of Geographic Information), in the Internal group of work "GIT Remote Sensing and Geographic Applications", during the elapsed time was generated thematic cartography requested by the town of Falan, for the updating of its cartographic elements in order to have updated products and on which the due updating can be carried out of its Spatial Planning Scheme, thematic mapping was carried out corresponding to geological map, geomorphological map, land use capacity map, use map and land cover, geomorphology related products and land use capacity produced on the basis of studies of soils of the region, and the map of use and coverage of the sue It was done using the Corine Land Cover methodology adapted for Colombia, all this in order to provide the town with knowledge of all its territory, especially the rural part, this will allow policy, social, economic, Territorial areas that make the most use of land and are also environmentally friendly so that the town guarantees sustainable development by improving the quality of life of the habitants of the town of Falan, Tolima.
