Imaginarios Colectivos una Mirada a Nuestra Memoria Histórica

Abstract

The present investigation seeks to elucidate the position of the present population on the history, making an inquiry about the knowledge that has been preserved to this day of a particular event in Colombian history: The events happened on July 20th. This event becomes a source of information to see the social imaginaries of the population and to identify the stories they keep in their memory as members of a particular social group (collective memory). From the above the research question of the present work is: How are the social imaginaries and the collective memories of the current population on the events of July 20 become evident?
