Abstract
For the execution of construction projects the main tool in the field are the plans and specifications, although in the design of any specialty all the information is normally available in specialized software in technical coordination, it is in the field where details are lost that are they must take into account, this due, among other things, to the fact that the information is not comprehensive and coherent among all specialties, and regulatory and operational requirements that must be complied with are omitted.
For this research project, there is information and documented evidence of reporting costs and times in the construction process of a building for hospitality services in the city of Bogotá, through which variations from what is planned versus executed are identified. The main reason for these variations is identified in the lack of coordination presented from the beginning of the work in the control of plans and in the definition of technical specifications of each element that makes up the construction, these errors directly affect the project due to lack of Proper application of a change control methodology that is generated in the project life cycle.
