Red de asistencia social como soporte en atención a desastres. Caso Bienestarina más® en un terremoto en Bogotá
Documents PDF
Abstract
This research work, through a 6-phase methodology, reflects the degree of support that
Supply Chain of the Bienestarina Social Assistance Program (SC-SAP) can provide in the
aftermath of an earthquake in the Colombian capital. In order to reach generalizable
conclusions, the constituent elements of this SC-SAP were evaluated, two potential
scenarios of earthquake risk in Bogotá were determined, as well as their possible effect on
network capacities and supply demands. The information obtained was the support for the
design of the proposed mathematical models, through which the risk scenarios were
evaluated, with variations in the parameters of capacities and demands for social
assistance, thus obtaining a framework of results that allow to glimpse the potential benefits
to integrate this program into disaster response. Finally, alternatives were proposed to
strengthen this SC-SAP to integrate it into disaster response schemes. In this sense, future
research was also suggested to materialize this promising cooperation strategy.
