Abstract

This research work is grounded on the basis of the research-creation, it is an exercise that aims to develop a proposal for picture book. It tries to create a product or a ready made object, to reify the results from the overview made to literature, picture book and an approach to the pre-Hispanic childhood. I will use the literature, because this enables an approximation to our pre-hispanic childhood in very didactic ways as the use of images, and contextualization in very similar environments as those we inhabit today. Literature especially the picture book (as a Teresa Colomer advice) is the way I choose in this exercise to carry out the concepts rescued by the Professor Paul Rodriguez in his text "The Children of the Sun" to the proposed picture book. My main goal is to answer the following question: How can one recreate the pre-Hispanic childhood, through the proposal of picture books? This exercise attempts to show the different changes that culturally has had the childhood of our peoples since the Spanish colonization. It will be an analysis of the various pre-Columbian societies and their interpretation of childhood. Methodologically, the present research work ifollows up the basis of the research-creation, framed in a qualitative research approach, step by step to devise the characters, scenes, text and design decisions that favor it’s interpretation and representation of pre- Hispanic Childhood in Colombia.
