Design and construction of plants and studies of the water source that feeds the plants are standardized by a group of regulations in Colombia to ensure the optimal design of the same as for the quality of water resources delivered to the beneficiary population avoiding bad investments, poorly structured projects or poor quality of both the product and the customer service; generated by both the poor design choice of font. This research is aimed to check the compliance with 20 water treatment plants in municipalities and towns in Cundinamarca, evaluating their processes and unit operations that make up the plant.Ítem Análisis técnico de los sistemas anóxicos en el tratamiento del agua residual doméstica.Cruz Mejía, Julián David; Rodríguez Miranda, Juan PabloFormerly, the biological processes (anaerobic and aerobic) the treatment of domestic wastewater was oriented exclusively on the removal of organic matter and suspended solids. However, after 1960, the problem associated with the presence of nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus) in domestic wastewater was taken into account, which produced an accelerated eutrophication and the rapid decrease in the concentration of DO in the receiving waters (Rozano and Dapena, 1995). For this reason, in the course of time new conventional technologies and innovations have emerged that implement one or more anoxic systems for the biological elimination of nitrogen or nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus simultaneously). In Latin America, developing countries such as Colombia, do not have technologies with anoxic systems, either because of the cost that this represents or because there is limited knowledge about them. The objective of this monograph is to develop a technical analysis of anoxic systems in domestic wastewater treatment. In order to answer the research question, what are the most viable technologies with anoxic systems to implement in the treatment of domestic wastewater in Latin America? The literature review is divided into two time scales, from 1960 to 1999 and from 2000 onwards. In the first instance, the name of the technologies with anoxic systems was identified, some such as SBR, modified Ludzack-Ettinger, A2/O and VIP. Its characteristics, treatment process, removal efficiencies, minimum design criteria and operation of each of the reactors were described. Finally, an analysis was developed to determine the technologies with anoxic systems most viable to implement in Latin America.Ítem Aplicación de la Ósmosis inversa en la potabilización de aguas en ColombiaGarcía Gómez, Luis Alberto; Céspedes Betancourt, Cristian Alfonso; Rodríguez Miranda, Juan PabloAn analysis of the state of the art of Reverse Osmosis technology was carried out, and its main or essential components and their applications at the regional level in Latin America were determined, in order to establish the viability of its application in the Colombian field, as well. A review of the current Colombian regulations was carried out; to determine the criteria required for its application in the Colombian environment and an analysis of the situation regarding the availability of drinking water in Colombian coastal territory, highlighting the Atlantic coast as the area where the application of Osmosis would be of the best and greatest benefit reverse for the supply of drinking water to the population.Ítem Aportes a la tipificación de las obras de conservación en el control de la erosión proyecto Checua-Procas en la Laguna de Fúquene (El Lecho de la Zorra)Mendivelso Panqueba, Yeison Ricardo; Rodríguez Miranda, Juan PabloThe present work consisted of the multitemporal analysis of the vegetation cover and the effectiveness of the biomechanical and bioengineering works that were executed to stabilize degraded areas and prevent the advance of erosion in the area where said works were carried out within the Checua Project that It began in the Checua River basin located 60 kilometers north of Bogotá DC, which includes the Municipalities of Nemocón, Cogua, Tausa, Cucunubá and Suesca in the department of Cundinamarca. Subsequently and in successive phases, it was extended to the basins of the Cucunubá Lagoon, Suta River and Ubaté, Fúquene Lagoon, works carried out by the autonomous regional corporation of Cundinamarca-CAR with the support of the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ ). The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the biomechanical works that were carried out to avoid the problem of erosive deterioration in the soils of the area, and its subsequent recovery in terms of vegetation cover in the corresponding period from 1987 to 2018, Through satellite images and aerial photographs, the methodology used was based on a process of classification of Landsat satellite images for identification, and analysis of the covers and changes in the soil in order to determine the state of restoration of the landscape. The land use changes were derived from the classification of four Landsat TM, ETM and OLI-TIRS images with a spatial resolution of 30 meters taken in December 1987, January 1998, December 2009 and December 2018.Ítem Apoyo a la empresa ASAGEC en la modificación de la licencia ambiental para el relleno sanitario del Municipio de GaragoaAlfonso Piñeros, Karen Vanessa; Rodríguez Miranda, Juan PabloThrough the inter-institutional support agreement signed between ASAGEC and the Francisco José de Caldas District University, the internship was developed, with the purpose of applying the knowledge obtained in the academy and in turn acquiring aptitudes and skills that allow good professional development and work in the future. THE ASSOCIATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY, SANITATION BASICO Y GESTIÓN DE LA CALIDAD (ASAGEC), is a company that has specialized professionals for the execution of environmental and health projects that focuses on the conservation, recovery and protection of natural resources, complying with the control measures required by the respective environmental authorities. , mitigating environmental damage caused by human activity. From the point of view of the Sanitary Engineer, the ASEGEC company was supported in the modification of the environmental license of the sanitary landfill and Optimization of the PMIRS of Garagoa - Boyacá, specifically in the hydrological and atmospheric component of the abiotic environment, according to the terms of reference for the preparation of the environmental impact study - EIA, required to process the environmental license for sanitary landfills.Ítem Apoyo a la Fundación Humedales Bogotá para el desarrollo y exposición de estrategias técnicas que mejoren la gestión de los residuos posconsumo a través de la webLópez Perdigón, Andrea Viviana; González Forero, Anyi Tatiana; Rodríguez Miranda, Juan PabloIn recent decades the Ministry of Environment has worked on the development of extended liability programs seeking to prevent post-consumer waste from being managed with domestic waste as they consequently lose their recovery potential and take advantage. According to a study conducted by the DANE, only 44% of households in Colombia classify their waste and 7 out of 10 people do not know how to make a correct separation, this ends in the wrong disposal of the different post-consumer waste which leads to what inevitably are disposed in landfills, generated an accelerated decrease in their useful life. (DPN, 2016). This internship was developed with the aim of proposing technical strategies to improve the management of post-consumer waste and that they reach consumers easily, therefore a bibliographic review was initially conducted focusing on four key features: current regulations, waste generation in the country, composition and the management that each one has today, this allowed identifying the main problems that must be faced to improve waste management, in order to delimit them were classified into three transversal axes: environmental, social and political in order to establish their origin and propose strategies that are not only effective but efficient in resolving them. The proposed strategies are proposed for the social component because it was identified that the final consumer depends on the correct separation and storage of waste thus ensuring their reintegration into the economic cycle or otherwise they have a correct provision without negative impacts on ecosystems; It also follows the character of the foundation Wetlands of Bogota highlighted for promoting participatory environmental management to the community because of this a didactic exhibition of the information collected, an environmental directory with collection points in the city of Bogota, additionally designed an outline for the website that will link to the foundation’s website in order to achieve a massive dissemination of information on the proper management of post-consumer waste, highlighting its importance, environmental impact and the responsibility of the final consumer in the chain of making use of them. Finally, we present an analysis of positive consequences for the strategies proposed in order to determine their functionality.Ítem Apoyo a la Secretaria Distrital de Ambiente en la atención, visitas de seguimiento y control de los procesos asociados al manejo de los residuos de construcción y demolición RCD del distrito capital.Rodríguez Jiménez, Diana Marcela; Rodríguez Miranda, Juan PabloThis document presents the internship final report, which was realized with the District Secretary of Environment (SDA) to support the sub-directorate of Environmental Control for the Public Sector (SCASP), RCD group. Therefore, as a result of this practice, the points of generation of solid waste in the administrative and plant areas were identified, determining the solid waste with the highest generation, among them is the calcium carbonate waste originated by the different phases for the elaboration of the raw material, classified as a non-usable solid waste. The cardboard and the steel mesh filter are usable materials from the different activities in the company.Ítem Apoyo en la gestión integral de residuos sólidos generados en el marco del proyecto CPS 341 - 2021 suscrito entre la Alcaldía Local de Bosa y el Consorcio Rehabilitación Ecológica BosaGonzález Maldonado, Paola Maritza; Rodríguez Miranda, Juan PabloThe Bosa Ecological Rehabilitation Consortium is a legal figure made up of IMPECOS SAS and C&M INGENIERÍA Y SERVICIOS AMBIENTALES, in charge of executing the contract for the provision of services CPS-341 2021 signed with the Local Mayor's Office of Bosa, whose purpose is to "provide services for the ecological rehabilitation, planting, maintenance of trees and gardening, which allow the increase of green areas in the town of Bosa”; the project includes the environmental components of: establishment and maintenance of arboreal individuals, establishment and maintenance of gardening horizontal and ecological rehabilitation. According to the guidelines described in the technical annex for each one of the components, the solid waste generated during the operating activities should have been comprehensively managed, therefore, it is necessary to guarantee the collection and use or adequate final disposal of the same. Due to the aforementioned, the activities developed in the internship as a Sanitary Engineering student will focus on monitoring the comprehensive management of solid waste generated during operational activities, in accordance with current regulations; In addition to carrying out all the processes that allow compliance with the guidelines related to solid waste, required for the execution of the contract.Ítem Aprovechamiento de los residuos sólidos orgánicos generados en el colegio Marruecos y Molinos, mediante la tecnología de vermicompostajeMartínez Gómez, Karen Julieth; Rodríguez Miranda, Juan PabloThis project seeks to raise awareness and explain to the young people of the Colegio Marruecos y Molinos IED about the management and use of organic waste through vermiculture, allowing them to actively participate in this project, the thinking about waste to change, since most of them do not understand the importance of the the importance of the correct separation of the waste generated, nor what can be done with it once it is deposited in a once it is deposited in a bin or container. Through vermiculture it is expected that the students leave aside the fear they have about worms and understand that these animals help to the that these animals help in the adaptation and strengthening of the soil, making it suitable for planting. suitable for planting. The red Californian earthworm will be used, because it has a higher degree of consumption of organic matter and has a greater of organic matter consumption and have a greater environmental resistance. The objective is to use the raw organic residues obtained after the adequate separation of the after the adequate separation of the waste.Ítem Caracterización de residuos orgánicos urbanos en el sector residencial de la UPL-Niza en la ciudad de Bogotá D.C.Sánchez Mayorga, Jessica Alejandra; Virgüez Muñoz, Edgar Camilo; Rodríguez Miranda, Juan PabloThe environmental problems caused by inadequate waste management are increasing and affect the quality of life of the communities, with waste of organic origin being the most representative and potential use, with increasing rigor in its management by national and district entities. In the present investigative study, the objective is to characterize the organic waste of the UPL Niza de Bogotá, to later propose the most appropriate use strategy in relation to various environmental aspects economic, social, institutional, operational and technical. For the development of the characterization, the quartering methodology was used with the support of surveys, while for the selection of the RSO treatment system, the TOPSIS methodology was used, with composting, incineration and anaerobic digestion as alternatives, managing a system of Quantification of quantitative and qualitative weights by paired comparisons of the AHP method, through specific considerations of the UPL Niza. The results showed a percentage of RSO of 58.38% with a greater representativeness of raw RSO and a varied specialization in sociodemographic terms, thus demonstrating the need to take advantage. Finally, in the development of the alternative selection through the different mathematical models used, it was found that the most appropriate technology for the conditions of the community is composting, followed by incineration and anaerobic digestion, by 32.8% and 36.7%, respectively, mainly by environmental and economic criteria.Ítem Desarrollo de un modelo de planificación ambiental para la calidad de los recursos hídricos superficiales considerando su variabilidad climática estacional mediante implementación computacionalRodríguez Miranda, Juan Pablo; García Ubaque, César AugustoThe present doctoral thesis manuscript, "Development of an environmental planning model for the surface water resources quality considering their seasonal climatic variability through computational implementation", within a cognitive framework and in the context of information and knowledge Science and technology line research, establishes an environmental planning model for watersheds (surface water bodies). The theoretical elements of the exhaustive review of the specialized literature are mentioned in terms of the conceptualization of environmental planning and biocomplexity in water resources and their low integration with seasonal climatic variability, the available computer resources as hydrology, hydraulic or water quality as specific solutions, but not integrated with each other and the scarce application of complex systems engineering through computational techniques in making decision in watersheds. In the methodology mentioned aspects for the development of the doctoral thesis in terms of the methodological structure developed, method and design of quasi experimental - analytical research with concurrent approach, with quarterly samples of secondary information of precipitation and water quality of the hydrographic basin analyzed and in turn performing the normalization of the model variables to construct an analytical model by means of the statistical analysis of the data and a system identification, to later apply the computational technique of artificial intelligence. The results show the development of the proposed methodology in terms of analysis of investment costs (for activated sludge, anaerobic reactors and oxidation ponds) and selection of technologies for municipal wastewater treatment plants in Cundinamarca (weighted function aggregation of product); software engineering as a vehicle for environmental planning in the quality of surface water resources considering seasonal climatic variability; normalization of water quality variables (maximize and minimize method) and precipitation for environmental planning in the quality of surface water resources considering seasonal climatic variability; environmental quality vector; the Delphi method and analytical model for the environmental planning of the quality of surface water resources; correlation analyzes between water quality and precipitation variables (correlations of 0.24 between precipitation and BOD, 0.20 between precipitation and N-NO2, 0.010 between SST and Ptotal); identification of the mathematical model that represents the watershed (Laplace transform) and artificial intelligence techniques to emulate the environmental quality (data mining and artificial neural network, Levenberg Marquardt algorithm with mean square error of 4.72x10-5 and coefficient of determination of test of 0.99188). This thesis document emphatically considers the specific contributions to knowledge in terms of: Econometric equations of investment costs for municipal wastewater treatment plants with the variables flow, BOD, SST, N and Ptotal; Methodology for the selection of technologies with weighted expression of product aggregation or weighted geometric average; Normalization of variables BOD, N-NO2, SST, PTotal and Precipitation by the method of maximizing and minimizing variables; Integrate the precipitation variable with the water quality variables BOD, N-NO2, SST and PTotal in a statistical, mathematical and analytical model; application of artificial intelligence techniques to emulate the criteria of the group of experts in terms of environmental quality through data mining, fuzzy logic, artificial neural network and particle swarms; environmental planning model considering the seasonal climatic variability for surface water bodies using data mining and artificial neural network (Levenberg Marquardt algorithm).Ítem Descripción de tecnologías híbridas para el tratamiento de agua residual domésticaRamírez Suárez, Maryori Louyannis; Lara Pinilla, Laura Gissella; Rodríguez Miranda, Juan PabloThe present monograph addresses the revision at the technological level of the different hybrid reactors for the treatment of domestic wastewater, in such a way that it allows to answer the research question related to the selection of a hybrid reactor for the treatment of domestic wastewater in a Colombian context. A methodology was used that consisted first in describing the different hybrid technologies for the treatment of domestic wastewater, where anaerobic, biological, UASB, among others, can be found; also, the different design criteria of each reactor were analyzed to identify and recognize the minimum requirements for their construction. It is important to mention that in Colombia there are very few cases where this type of reactors have been implemented because they require constant monitoring to avoid the generation of bad odors and their operation can be slow. However, the main results obtained during the elaboration of this document allowed to determine that these reactors could be a great alternative in terms of domestic wastewater treatment since according to consultations made indifferent bibliographic sources they can eliminate COD of approximately 70% and 48% (Lew, 2004) and elimination of BOD between 70% to 91% (Banu, 2007) emphasizing that generally they are of low cost, of equal form they have the capacity to be adapted in any thermal floor and finally they have the possibility of combining with other reactors improving their operation as opposed to the water treatment.Ítem Dimensionamiento de relleno sanitario para la Provincia de Oriente, CundinamarcaGómez Molina, Geny Laura; Rodríguez Miranda, Juan PabloFirst, the aspects of production, storage, transport, and the final disposal of the waste, were analysed to know what kind of waste is generated in the municipalities; Then an optimal area was selected with the help of tools such as ArcGIS and the use of the multi-criteria analysis method supported by current Colombian legislation. Finally, the most optimal construction method was selected, the trench, the cells, and the rainwater drainage system was seized, and the generation of leachate was estimated using the Swiss method and the generation of biogas using the Mexican method used by the EPA adapted data collected by the Mexican methodology. It is important to mention that in the subsequent stage of operation of the sanitary landfill, a program should be made to diminish the impacts generated by these installations and integrate them into the circular economy. The community that generates the solid waste must classify and reuse thus turning them into a resource rather than a problem, therefore generating synergy, between the community, the landfill, and the entity providing the service, in which the goal is to take advantage of and diminish the generation of waste.Ítem Dimensionamiento del sistema de tratamiento de agua residual para la unidad de cuidado animal del Instituto de Protección y Bienestar Animal - IDPYBAGuzmán Camelo, Eduard Orlando; Castillo Guerrero, Liliana; Rodríguez Miranda, Juan PabloThe present work of degree seeks to find the best alternative treatment to wastewater from the activities carried out in the Unidad de Cuidado Animal - UCA of Instituto de Protección y Bienestar Animal - IDPYBA in Bogotá, by means of sizing (Calculation of sizing and development of plans) of a biological treatment that reduces the concentrations of total suspended solids, BOD5, fats and oils, among others, that currently do not comply with the regulations on wastewater effluent, resolution 0631 of 2015, in order to diminish the contributions of the concentrations to the sewerage of the city and as a public entity to give an example in the contribution to the improvement of the quality of the Bogotá river.Ítem Dimensionamiento y operación de una planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales industriales para una empresa cosmética a cargo de la empresa INGEPROL S.A.S.Romero Aroca, Kevin David; Rodríguez Miranda, Juan PabloThe cosmetic industries use water in their production to carry out a process of elaboration of such products. These waters contain different types of pollutants that are discharged into a water body for reuse. For this type of cases there are certain standards that must be met to generate a minimum impact on the ecosystem in use and also an optimization of the resource so that it can be reconciled with the activity in which it will be reused. Therefore, these waters must be treated to achieve the required optimization. Consequently, the consultancy to meet this objective is really important and it is the moment when INGEPROL S.A.S. enters to collaborate with the aforementioned industry with the studies and technical documents of the wastewater treatment system required in the cosmetics factory.
