Ítem Desarrollo de modelo geomagnético adopción en Colombia, para análisis de anomalías y detección de fallasBeltrán Zambrano, Karen Alexandra; Lozano Marroquín, Gina de los Ángeles; Quintana Puentes, RobinsonThe Earth's geomagnetic field is basic to life on our planet. Far from being static, this field varies with time in both strength and direction. Between Africa and South America an extensive region of lower magnetic intensity has formed, which is currently known as the South Atlantic anomaly. Given Colombia's location, it is important to determine the behavior of the geomagnetic field intensity. The present study exposes the methodology of the use of the linear and geometric projection methods and the International Geomagnetic Reference Field (IGRF) model developed in Python and introduced by the International Association of Geomagnetism and Aeronautics (IAGA). In order to determine and analyze the variations of the total intensity in nanotesla in different points located on the surface of the Colombian territory. In addition, to update the information corresponding to existing geomagnetism data in the country. During the processing and analysis of the information provided, it was determined that the statistical projection methods were not reliable with respect to the IGRF 13 model developed in Python. On the other hand, with the information collected, the results obtained from the calculations and analysis of the total intensity are presented through maps and tables.
