Ítem Analisis de la Evolucion Microestructural de un Acero AISI/SAE 1045 al Ser Sometido a un Tratamiento IsotermicoArdila Garcia, Juan David; Coral Martinez, David Leonardo; Bohorquez Avila, Carlos ArturoFor this project six steel samples AISI/SAE 1045 were used, one of which remained in delivery state, and the remaining were subjected to heat treatments as follows. All samples were exposed to an initial heating to 770 ° C for 30 minutes, then they subjected to a cooling environment with mild water spray to reach approximately 550 ° C. Once this temperature was reached the samples to a second flask were introduced previously heated to 550 ° C, hence the specimens were taken out one at a different time: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour and 2 hours. Each sample was allowed to cool to ambient. This process is performed in order to analyze the change suffered by the material microstructure, observing samples in a metallographic microscope, also performing hardness testing each specimen and then enter the values in a comparative table taking into account the different times used in the treatments.Ítem Análisis de las diferencias entre la tensión de un Acero ASTM 572 habitual y sometido a los tratamientos térmicos de criogenia temple y revenido a altas temperaturasHerrera Bernal, Jefferson Leandro; Bohorquez Avila, Carlos ArturoIt is intended to incite, with the present work of degree, the need to look for determined properties in steels, especially of A572 steel, agreeing to favor the improvement of the deep cryogenization technique as a heat treatment, since it is a technology that is currently in constant development, thus offering a variety of possibilities to achieve constant development and innovation for metals. These structures are characterized by high shear, allowing considerable deformation and a low relative density. In this study a computational analysis is performed by the finite element method in the application Ansys Workbench, the elastic behavior of auxetic structures Hexaquirales and Re-entrant with negative coefficient of Poisson in the plane under uniaxial load, by varying the geometry of each structure is to establish the best relationship between topology and deformation for each model, as well as a comparative framework in the responses of the two types of structures. The results show that the mechanical behavior of each structure depends largely on the geometric shape and the type of structure that is. Thus, design parameters using models for future applications auxetic considering its geometric constraints and performance are offered.Ítem Desarrollar una aplicación de software para uniones de transición de acueducto y alcantarillado de diámetros de 14IN a 30INReyes Lizcano, Daniel; Páez Suárez, Carlos Alberto; Bohorquez Avila, Carlos ArturoThis project seeks to present a tool that efficiently meets the design process in the transition joints pipes water and sewage. Several sources suggest that high strength of the martensite does not guarantee good performance to abrasion, which is generated for its fragility. The main objective of this work is to analyze the influence of the micro structure: martensite-ferrite, martensite-ferrite-bainite in resistance to abrasion of steel AISI 1045. In order to obtain the microstructure, the material was exposed to a heat treatment with intercritical temperatures of 740°C and 770°C. Then isothermal process with temperatures of 450°C and 550°C with different times of sustenance. Once the microscopic test SEM and DRX were done, the bainite and martensire fraction are attained. The resistance to abrasive fatigue of the selected steel was obtained applying the ASTM-G65. Also was found that resistance to fatigue is directly related to the microstructure. On the other hand the volumetric loss of mass was found to be 15% higher than the same material without treatment.Ítem Influencia de un tratamiento Q&P en un acero de manganeso superior a 1% en la resistencia a la tensiónBarrera Ramirez, Jefferson David; Delgado Contreras, Juan Sebastian; Bohorquez Avila, Carlos ArturoThis document seeks to gather the most information about the improvement of the mechanical properties of a steel alloy that has manganese in its chemical composition higher than 1%, with the realization of a thermal treatment of Q&P, comparing properties with steel in its initial state, corroborating the results with different international theoretical sources and evaluating the effectiveness of this new form of thermal treatment for steels.Ítem Influencia del Ángulo de Ataque en la Resistencia al Desgaste Erosivo Según la Norma Astm – G76 de un Acero Aisi Sae 1045 Templado desde Temperaturas IntercriticasTorres Alarcon, Julian; Bolaños Mahecha, Rene Camilo; Bohorquez Avila, Carlos ArturoThe purpose of the research carried out, is the analysis of erosive wear resistance of a steel AISI SAE 1045; it was made taking the material delivery status. The objective of heat treatments is to provide materials with specific properties suitable for their conformation or final use according to the required design and engineering specifications. It is important to clarify that in some cases they modify the chemical composition of the materials in addition to other factors such as the structural constituents and the granulometry, and as a consequence, the mechanical properties (traction, hardness, impact resistance, among others). Heat treatments can be performed on part or all of the piece in one or several steps of the manufacturing sequence. In some cases, the treatment is applied before the forming process (annealing to soften the metal and help it form more easily while hot). In other cases, it is used to alleviate the effects of strain hardening and, if required, can be done late in the manufacturing sequence to achieve strength and hardness.Ítem Influencia del tratamiento térmico de homogenizado y reenvejecido seguido de un Tratamiento Criogénico en la Microestructura y la dureza del Aluminio 2024-T4Vargas Lozano|, Humberto; Sierra Gonzalez, Kevin Gabriel; Bohorquez Avila, Carlos ArturoThe constant change and rapid development that occurs worldwide, and the consequent establishment of new social orders have frameworks of social demands in each of the aspects related interdisciplinary way that encompasses development, being therefore the need for new developments, in addition provide solutions to the growing requirements, create openings in academic, economic and business fields.
