La relevancia de un entrenamiento riguroso basado en la técnica del ballet para niños bailarines de 7 a 9 años

Abstract

In Sibaté-Cundinamarca, the municipal administration has shown little interest in supporting cultural processes, which has led residents to create their own spaces to transmit artistic knowledge. Four years ago, the school and company SOMOS DANZA was founded with the aim of training individuals with dance talent and fostering cultural development in Sibaté. My interest lies in introducing ballet technique to the students in the advanced children’s category of SOMOS DANZA, as ballet has sparked great interest in the country thanks to renowned choreographers and dancers such as Plutarco Pardo Santamaria, Ana Consuelo Gómez Caballero and Gloria Castro, among others. My goal is to promote better support and teaching to strengthen and expand dance knowledge, especially through ballet. As a dance artist from Sibaté, I am committed to this research and to the cultural development of my community.
