“Filin” bolero is a musical genre rooted in Cuba that has been the result of the American culture influence on the island. One of the main features is the use of sophisticated harmonies reflected on instruments like the guitar. This work wants to take an approach to the functional harmony based on the analysis of 5 guitarists performers of the Bolero “Filin” genre.
